I'm really sorry to hear about that Herb. Have you got any others in the pipeline?

When I've been out of work I used to apply for as many as I could, even ones that I wasn't sure if I wanted, so I could increase my chances of being offered something.

So today I told mum I'm going to London tomorrow evening (hi Denise).

It's based on a policy of no outright lies, and tell her about anything that can't be conveniently hidden. Everything else is either too expensive to do right now (lasers?) or liable to result in pointless "talks" i don't need from her.

It went something like this...

Mum, I'm going to London tomorrow evening.

Why?

...

Is it to meet that group again?

So mum is away for a few days. I took the opportunity to search for some of my thing that routinely go missing. Stuff like tweezers. There's no way I'm that careless with them.

In her bedroom, I find an old scrap of paper on which I had been practising writing my chosen girl name.

Now, seeing as how my cousin had come to visit while I was away from the house, I guess it's understandable, and even thoughtful of her, that she removed it from easy view. On the other hand, I'm puzzled and concerned as to why she had kept it and not thrown it away or shredded it.

Damn.

I just got a letter from the psychiatrists. They say someone (NOT ME) has applied in my name to register witha local GP, and as such they are cancelling the funding application that would get me referred to CHX.

I am majorly pished off about this. I just phoned them, and hopefully this will be sorted out later today.
