I popped into my local surgery this morning to make an appointment with my GP and it turns out that she is on maternity leave and will be for another 6 months or so. The receptionist did make an appointment for me with a new doctor that is filling in for her, looks like I might end up having to explain myself again to yet another doctor. I bet she won't have looked at my file when I turn up. hopefully the endocrinologist will have sent a letter to my surgery as well as sending one to me.

It got to lunch time at work and I realised that I'd forgotten my pills. So I had lunch and then found a manager and told them I'd have to go home to pick my pills up. The managers were fine with it but I think they might have been thinking 'oh yeah, I bet she just wants to drive her new car some more, lol'.

Very Happy It's a Jazz, isn't it? I don't know about driving them, but they're quite nice to be a passenger in.
My dad's got one, and I always think it looks a little space-shippy on the inside!

Hehe, yeah the dash-board illumination is pretty cool and the interior styling definitely has a really modern feel about it, no walnut trees felled for the making of this car, lol

Queen - I'm In Love with My Car

"The machine of a dream
Such a clean machine
With the pistons a pumpin'
And the hub caps all gleam..."

Weekend, Chrissy. Time to give it a wash and polish and take some photos.

We're waiting... Very Happy

I'm waiting too... for it to stop bloody raining. It's been raining every time I've got in my car since I got it and the heavens really opened today. The couple of weeks before I got my car it was very hot and sunny but now it's just constant rain. I'd really like to wash it, not because it's really dirty, it's not but it does have a few rain marks I'd like to clean off and of course take some pictures.

I watched my local boys today in the first game of the season. Rovers played against Carlisle Utd and my boys lost 3-2 Sad. It was an exciting game and they gave it their all and I think probably had more chances but were unlucky in front of goal today. It's a shame to start with a defeat, especially as Rovers scored first but I'm sure they can bounce back. I haven't got a season ticket this year as I have to cut back a little but I'll go to around half the games I think.

I'm off to visit my mum tomorrow and looking forward to that, I really hope it doesn't rain so much, I don't like driving in rain as much and it's starting to annoy me that the dry weather has deserted us, in the middle of August Sad.

Thankfully the GP I saw today was really nice and friendly, it turns out that she has a more detailed letter about what to do regarding the Zoladex and the anti-androgen I will have to take for a short while (because the Zoladex actually increases your testosterone in the beginning). It's actually a small implant that releases the Zoladex over 3 months. I am going to my doctors on thursday morning to have the implant injected into me. I am pretty scared about it, the GP did say they would give me a local anesthetic though but I'm still a little scared, lol.

Also the electronic display in the waiting room which tells the next patient to go in came up with Mr. Christina ...... to see Dr. ......... My usual GP did tell me last time I saw her that it would be changed, it's so embarrassing. They'd better get it changed by the next time I come in. The doctor did say that she'd talk to the manager about it for me. She is only new there and didn't know how to change it. I also asked about the same thing happening still on prescriptions. I really hope that they can sort it out, sooner too rather than later.

I had my Zoladex implant injected into me today. I had been feeling pretty nervous about it as it is a huge needle, it has to be big enough to deliver the implant. The nurse asked if I had any objections to another nurse coming in to watch how it's done. I didn't have any objections although I was feeling a little embarrassed because I have my electrolysis appointment tomorrow so I had a bit of visible facial hair Sad. The nurse said to me that if it does hurt a lot then next time they can give me a cream to put on to numb the area. What about this time ~ I was thinking. Anyway the nerves had built right up inside me and when the nurse did it, I realised it wasn't bad at all Very Happy.

The Zoladex causes a testosterone flare for the first two weeks of the first implant so the endocrinologist at Charing Cross advised that I be prescribed an anti-androgen for two weeks to counteract that. Unfortunately the letter to my GP about it wasn't worded so clearly and my GP wasn't sure when I was supposed to start the anti-androgen, she thought it could have been two weeks after the first implant. The matter still hadn't been clarified when I arrived and so that panicked me a little but the nurse phoned up Charing Cross and got the relevant information and sorted out a prescription for me then and there as I had to take it the same day as the implant.

I was very pleased that finally my prescription was addressed to Ms. Christina ...... Very Happy. I got called in by the nurse to I don't know if the electronic board has been changed yet, hopefully it's on the same system and that is changed too.

I'm feeling tired today. I've had a stressful day at work but I am wondering whether having a change in medication has helped me feel a little more tired than usual. I have the day off tomorrow, yay Smile, but I have loads to do including the joy of electrolysis, hehe.

I had time to buy some things for my car today and to give it a wash, although, I'm not sure it ended up being dirtier than it started, lol. I guess without a hose to rinse it quickly and because it was hot outside, that made it difficult to clean without leaving water marks. Oh well, I'll do a better job next time.

So now with my car clean, well sort of, I took a couple of pictures.

My Jazz

My Jazz 2

My Jazz 3

I also found a piccy of me left on my camera, it's not such a good one and I'm looking away at something and you can see my awful tattoos, lol.

Hehe, I don't know what was going on when that picture got taken.

Off to Manchester today, 3 and a half hour train ride, I just hope I can read my book in peace during the journey. I'm really looking forward to it, looking forward to seeing some good friends and also looking forward to meeting some people I've not yet had the pleasure to meet in person.

I went to Manchester on Saturday, yep 3 and a half hours on a train to meet up with some of the people from this very forum. It was a great turnout too, wonderful to see so many of you there. It really was fantastic to meet all of you that came and I think everyone there had a fantastic night. I'm sure many of you like me can't wait for the next one.

I had a card posted through my letter box last week, you know one of those cards that they use when a parcel couldn't be delivered. It said that the parcel needed a signature and on it it had the courier's phone number so I could arrange re-delivery. I phoned up the number a few days ago and it went straight through to an answering machine, I left a message and my phone number but I never got called back. Today I decided to ring the depot, I spoke to a lady who told me the parcel was contracted out to be delivered by a girl that worked for this other firm. Next preceded lots of hassle and eventually the woman said she'd ring the girl up and get her to drop it off at the depot so I can come and collect it.

I got home this evening and there was a message on my answering machine. It was from the girl who was delivering my parcel. Now I have been wondering what this parcel is as I can't remember ordering anything recently but I do have a terrible memory and I do order quite a lot sometimes. I assumed it must be something I've ordered as it requires a signature. The girl left a message telling me that it's a Maplins electrical catalogue. I vaguely remember ordering a lead or something from Maplins once. I just can't believe that they are sending me a catalogue and it requires a signature. The girl said that she could just post it through the letter box if I want and I should phone back and tell her that she can do that. What am I going to do with an electrical catalogue, probably throw it in the bin, that's what. I can't believe all this hassle for a catalogue and not even one I want.

Well today I got a Royal Mail card through my letter box, it said a small package that needs a signature couldn't be delivered. The card I got last week was a DHL one. I am wondering whether this new card is for the same silly catalogue, I can't think what else it could be but I'm not sure how Royal Mail could be delivering it now. It means I have to get up early and take a trip to the collection depot, if it's that damn catalogue, which I don't want, then I won't be very pleased.

Usually companies print a billion catalogues and just sent them out to everyone regardless and they don't need signing for, and usually just get shoved through the letter box. I must of forgot to un-check a box when I ordered something once. I am intrigued about this Royal Mail parcel but I just have a nagging suspicion that it's going to be the Maplins catalogue.
