Hi Chrissy. It's nice to catch up with all your news. I've not been around much lately, and my mssnger isn't working even when I am on the computer to use it.
Awwww, it would be nice to have a chat at some point. Sometimes I think that not a lot happens in my life but I guess if you've read quite a few posts in one go then some things must have happened.

Thanks George, and for your other comments too Smile. I do sort of have my heart set on one, so I hope I like it and I can get one.

It's been a very hard few days at work, it's been very tiring and stressful, I am glad the weekend is here. Just after I got my dinner in the canteen today I heard a bit of commotion and a lot of banging going on. I then noticed that they were lowering the the shutters and closing up a good hour early. I then heard an urgent call for a first aider to come to the canteen on the intercom thingy whatever it's called. I started wondering what had happened, and the banging that had died down rose again with a renewed ferocity.

It didn't take long for the news of what had happened to get around and it turned out that one of the ladies who serve in the canteen had an epileptic fit. She had served me moments before and was the lady that mistakenly called me sir the other week. I do hope she is ok, I heard they took her to hospital in an ambulance. Apparently she collapsed on the floor whilst serving someone. This may sound pretty awful but I am glad I managed to get some hot food before it happened.

I remember when I was in school one of my best friends suffered from epilepcy, I hadnt ever seen her have a fit tho. One day out of the blue while we were walkin down the corridor she suddenly hit the floor having a fit. Luckily there was a teacher near by to help her cus im afraid I wouldnt have had a clue how to help her.

I understand what you mean by being glad you got your hot dinner first. If I remember rightly, you work in a cold environment so you prob look forward to a nice hot meal to warm ya bones.

I have been trying to buy a new Honda Jazz recently and I went for a test drive last Sunday. I felt a little nervous, about a few things really but everything went well and then I decided that I really wanted one even more. I'm not anywhere near rich enough to buy one without finance so everything boils down to getting the finance.

I didn't have any deposit on me on Sunday but popped into the showroom before work on Wednesday to hand in a deposit cheque. They said that they'd be in touch if there was any finance problems. I am guessing now though that they didn't apply for the finance until they had a deposit otherwise I might have been able to do everything in one day. After work on Wednesday I had a message saying that I need to bring in payslips for the past 3 months as proof of earnings. I thought great I'll have to go back there again the next day. I was thinking it's a shame I couldn't have done both on the same day. It is a bit of a pain as I had to get up over an hour early to go there before work.

So I get to the Honda showroom this morning, armed with my payslips, and the woman who has been dealing with me saw me and approached me. She then tells me that the finance people have changed their minds and don't want to see payslips but bank statements instead, so now I have to go back tomorrow and get up early 3 days in a row. I don't see exactly what difference it makes for them seeing a payslip or a bank statement. I am getting a little sick of going there every morning before work. Hopefully that's it now and if there are no problems then I'll just have to wait for them to take delivery of it and prepare it.

I've never bought a new car and I guess all the running around is probably usual. I don't know why but I have a bad feeling I'm not going to get it, I'm trying really hard not to get my hopes up or get excited but it's hard not to.

I've never bought new either, but I've watched my Dad do it. He drives a mean bargain.

Right now, anyone selling cars should bite your hand off. If they're buggering you about they don't deserve your business. I'd have walked away from this lot by now.

They don't need bank statements when they can easily run a credit check on you.

There's a Volkswagen dealership in Arno's Vale. Small Volkswagens hold their value well and are easy to sell when you've finished with them. It might prove a better bet in the long run.

~ Funny thought of the day ~

I just went and did my shopping, god the supermarket was packed, I don't enjoy squeezing past people and it seems that people take no heed of where other people are going when they are in the supermarket. I arrived at the checkouts and I was behind an old lady. It is pretty hot today and she opened a bottle of coke she was buying, so to take a refreshing sip whilst the checkout assistant rang her shopping in. The top fell out of her hands, she scanned the floor for it, it didn't seem to be there, I looked around the floor too but couldn't spot it either. So then, probably feeling a little embarrassed, she assumed it must have dropped down her top. It did look like it could have gone down there. I did feel for the poor woman, searching for it and getting a little bemused to where it could have gone, she really wanted to put the top back on too before going. She commented to me how peculiar it was that it had seemed to have gone when suddenly she spotted it in the bottom of her trolley. I could see the relief on her face, I felt happy she'd found it too, the poor lady had got just a little embarrassed I think when she had been searching her top.

Hiya Chrissy!

Have been away for a while so it's nice to catch up with everyones news. Glad things are going well for you!

I read a few pages back that you loved your final fantasy games and that you were looking forward to the next instalment. It has been confirmed it's coming out on the Xbox 360 too. Not sure if you have one of those but they are considerably cheaper than a Playstation 3 Smile

Hehe well I do have a dodgy record with money, If I were a finance company I don't think I would lend the money purely based on my credit history. I am better with money though now and my job is all right pay wise and I am sure I won't have any problems paying it at all.

They photocopied payslips and bank statements on Friday and they told me they'd ring me if there were any problems and they haven't rung yet so hopefully that's a good sign. The car itself has to be ordered and they did say that they have done that already. I'm not sure exactly how long I will have to wait, the girl couldn't give me a fixed date when we chatted before, no more than a couple of weeks hopefully. I'll probably phone them on Saturday and ask them to confirm the finance is good and also ask if they have any idea when it will be ready to collect.

I am really trying hard not to feel excited about it and trying hard not to tell people in case it falls through somehow.

Hehe, problems!! I don't think in 16 years of driving I have ever had a car problem free for more than a month. I just assumed everyone had problems when they have second hand cars. I've never had a new car and my parents only ever had one once. Everyone always goes on about the money you lose on a new car and how insane an idea it is to buy them new, if you don't plan to sell it then the money you lose is less important. The Honda Jazz apparently does hold it's value very well anyway.

It will just be brilliant to not have to worry about bits falling off and whether I'll make it do my destination, lol. Also the radio doesn't work in my car at the moment so I'd die to listen to music whilst I drive right now. Driving old cars around has been giving me a lot of extra stress worrying about them, peace of mind will be a wondrous experience that I've never had in a car.

Right now I feel like a kid waiting for Christmas and still wondering and hoping a get the present I want, lol. When I was a kid I never got the presents I really wanted though, but then again I didn't have the courage to ask for them.

I know how that is... my radio doesn't work in mine at the moment either. Although it just gave me the nudge I needed to buy a new iPod after my old one broke on the plane home from Kenya Laughing Hate driving without music!

Kenya, wow!! I've never been anywhere like that. So does your iPod plug into the car and act like a car radio too? I've never had an iPod either, I don't think I'd ever get chance to listen to one so that's why I've never bought one.

I had a cassette adapter for it, which degrades the sound quality a bit, worked fine though. I use the headphones now.

Technically the radio works just fine, but my car battery died a few months ago and having it jump started kicked in the security on the radio. Can't find the code and can't be arsed to phone Citroën so it's working fine but I guess I'm faulty Laughing I had a phobia of using phones when I was younger, although it's pretty mild now, I still tend to avoid using them unless I have to.

I really recommend Kenya too, it was an amazing experience. The poverty was heartbreaking in places but the people were just so lovely for the most part. Beggars and people bugging you to buy stuff could get irritating but they left you alone if you were firm. Felt bad about doing that but it's just something you have to do. Took stuff over for the kids like note books, pencils and sugar free sweets. Going on safari was awesome apart from one day when all the animals decided to hide!
