Um that does also sound pretty bad using headphones in a car, I'm not even sure it's legal as it would impair your hearing.

I dislike phones too, I always feel nervous about what I should say, lol. I much prefer talking to people in real life when it's to do with a problem. I do like catching up with people on the phone though, I talk for ages on the phone to my mum all the time, she usually has to try and get rid of me after an hour, lol.

I don't believe it's illegal, which of course doesn't mean it isn't, although deaf people are allowed to drive. I never have it up loud enough that I can't hear what's going on around me anyway, and I've ever been pulled over for it.

Yeah I'm pretty good these days, once I actually get on the phone now it can be hard for me to shut up too XD

No problems, I didn't look at what is on those sites, just did a quick search as I was busy. Also it does now seem so long ago when I was training my voice, maybe a couple of years ago now, so it's hard to remember specific tips I used but hopefully I can still help you with some of it. I think just reading all the tips you can find online should definitely help. You can ask me any questions and I'll try to answer them if I can.

As for MSN, just checked mine and I have 93 contacts, wow. Most of them don't talk to me any more, just acquaintances I've come across.

Hehe, I don't bite, well... not when the moon isn't full, lol.

Dave was in Bristol last night visiting some friends, so I decided to meet up for a meal. We went to a restaurant called Beijing Bistro and the food was wonderful, the restaurant however was so busy and it definitely felt a bit cramped in there. It was also nice to meet a couple of Dave's friends too, we sat outside and chatted a while afterwards in a pub garden and it was a nice evening. Some random people on the same table started chatting to us too, they'd just come from the harbour festival, I'd forgotten that was on this weekend. For some reason someone near the pub started setting off huge fireworks, they were very loud, sounded like someone had decided to go to war with Bristol, lol.

I'm picking up my new car on Tuesday yayyyyyyy Very HappyVery HappyVery Happy, unfortunately I couldn't pick it up on the weekend. I am now really excited about that, although I'm going to have to get up early to get the bus to the dealer and collect the car before I start work. It's a bit of a shame I won't have time to take it for a nice drive and learn how all the things work on it before I start work.

One nice thing that has pleased me buying this car is that not one person out of all the people I have had to deal with, receptionists, sales staff, insurance people on the phone, etc, not one of these people have given me a strange look, used a wrong pronoun or given me any indication that they weren't convinced about my gender in any way. I don't usually get any problems like that but there is always a small worry in the back of my mind that I'll have to explain myself to people. I don't worry about it so much these days, hopefully someday I won't worry about it at all.

Well, I caught the bus today before work to pick up my car. I'd done some looking on the web last night at bus routes and times. It turned out that the only bus that goes from where I live directly to where I wanted to go arrives 10 minutes before my appointment to pick my car up and it's about a 10 minute walk from the bus stop. I didn't like it at all but I didn't like the alternatives either, which consisted of getting a bus into the city centre and another one back out again to my destination. That would have taken about 2 hours with waiting times, I really didn't want to get up that early so I decided to take the direct route.

The bus was running a little late (of course), just glad it turned up really, lol. So as my appointment time came and I was still a few minutes walk away I phoned up the showroom from my mobile and let them know I was going to be a little late. It was also absolutely chunking it down with rain and my poor umbrella has really had it Sad. It felt good to finally get there. I had tonnes of paperwork to sign and read and then finally I got to see my car and I had a little tutorial of how things work on it. I just love my car, it's absolutely gorgeous Very Happy. I'll take some pictures on the weekend, hopefully we'll get some sun, that would be nice, it's been raining hard all day. The staff at the showroom have been fantastic and I got given a bunch of flowers too with some gorgeous pink roses in it Very Happy. I only have a small vase at home so I've taken the roses out and put them in the vase and I've thrown out the rest.

My car is just a dream to drive and there are so many gadgets and useful little thingys on it. It was pure bliss driving home from work tonight and having music too Very Happy. Lots of people at work were excited for me and said I deserve a nice car, they are so nice to me. I'm going to take a drive down to Devon to see my mum for a couple of hours on Sunday, I haven't seen her for over 6 months so I'm really looking forward to it. I'm also really looking forward to the drive there too, hehe. Now I need to buy things like car mats and air fresheners and things like that for it.

Wow, flowers! Shocked That's a nice touch. Very Happy

I'm pleased to hear you're enjoying your new car and I'm sure it won't take long for you to personalise it - it almost sounds as though you're planning some nest-building. Smile

Have a safe trip down to Devon (and wave to Somerset for me...)

Getting flowers was a really nice touch, and they were very appreciated Very Happy.

Hehe, I don't think so. I think they just give all the women that buy brand new cars bunch of flowers to say that they appreciate your custom. I wonder what the guys get, if anything, lol. I also got a full tank of petrol, which is certainly quite expensive these days.

My mum lives in Colyton which is a couple of miles from Seaton, I'll be going down the M5 for half the journey and the other half on the country roads. I don't like driving on the motorways but I'm sure it will be nice in my new car though.

I got a letter today from the endocrinologist at Charing Cross. Finally my last blood test must have made it there, I had it months ago, lol. The letter says that my testosterone is not being suppressed enough so they are going to put me on Zoladex injections every 3 months. I had a feeling that they would do this, I don't know how but I've felt that my testosterone has been too high. Strangely my Oestrogen is also a little too high also, so they will be reducing that too. I'll feel really glad when things are at the proper levels, I am glad that hopefully that will be soon.

A friend told me that initially Zoladex causes testosterone levels to rise before suppressing it, she went onto an anti-androgen for 14 days when she started Zoladex, the letter I have doesn't mention anything like that. I do presume though that my GP will have had a letter from the endocrinologist explaining exactly what to do. Also the letter I had just asks me to pop into the surgery, I'm also presuming they mean my local surgery.
