Cold Feet's hot transvestite

STAND by for a frock shock as strait-laced ex-Cold Feet star Robert Bathurst plays a transvestite in a new ITV1 drama.
Robert, 48, who played David Marsden in the cult show, looks pretty fetching in a selection of outfits, including this purple two-piece jacket and skirt, with strappy high heels.
The actor shows off his feminine side as cross-dressing antiques dealer Phillip Collins in Kingdom on May 20.
His one time screen wife from Cold Feet, Hermione Norris, who plays the screen sister of Stephen Fry in the series, laughed: “Robert looked a bit too good in his dresses. But I can think of blokes who would look a lot worse in drag.
“He did sit quite comfortably in his feminine attire.”
In the episode, Fry’s solicitor character is consulted when Phillip’s wife asks him about getting a divorce when she discovers her husband is a cross dresser.
An ITV1 spokeswoman said: “There are some very funny scenes with Robert wearing Christian Dior outfits. In one scene he even turns up wearing an identical dress as his screen wife played by Claire Skinner!”
