okay, weird question here, but nevermind.....

does anybody at all know how i can get in touch with professor richard green? this is kinda urgent for me right now and, following his retirement, he seems to have disappeared off the map.

anything, his new clinic, address, fax number, phone number, whatever, will do.

please PM me if you know anything.

cheers

Well, I've never heard of him before this thread, but I found an article.

He's the last surviving relic of Harry Benjamin-era psychiatry, a past president of HBIGDA, and author of numerous peer-reviewed papers on GID.

Well thats it, I can't be ts then what with only having one maternal aunt, a distinct lack of brothers older or otherwise and being right handed.

i have met Prof Green numerous times and found him to be a straight talking well informed yankee practitioner - great accent btw

he straddles the Benjamin thinking with new concepts

and actually stated

'it took a lot of clinical experience and a lot of perseverance to realise that psychiatry was not helping these people'

thats some statement from a psychiatrist Wink

and an honest one too

what is it you need his help for - is it for a medical report regarding the GRC Gender Recognition Panel

if this is the case then if you went via CX then another doctor or the head of clinic should be able to review you medical notes and write one for you

write and ask

i have the letters i need to apply for a GRC, thanks. i just haven't done it yet, because each month my car needs the money more than my legal gender status seems to.

i currently in the business of getting letters of support to help an application for review on my funding for surgery. i've just been turned down, you see. so i'm looking for help from all angles, and i've currently got a week to get it together (although i might have a fortnight if a fax from my GP actually works).

as such i'm not really into sending things through the post, considering there is a bank holiday next week too.

and, yes, i've been in touch with CX too. that's how i know about their phone number.

thanks for the advice though!
