As I'm back i wanted to re-roll myself (hope that's allowed lol)
I'm now 23, my gf isn't as supportive as she once was and I'm feeling much better about my gender than i was when iw as first on this site- I now feel good enough about myself to take the next step *counts down the 5 days til see's dr*

hey all
I'm Danny-James, known here as Tom_Ripley because i love the film the talentedd Mr. Ripley and i identify with feeling so inscure about yourself that the idea of being someone else is an emotional orgasm (though that has nothing to do with me being ftm - i've NEVER felt female)
anyhoo, i'm 20. I started hormone therapy 4 days after my 20th birthday (i told myself i'd get on it before my 20th but there were a few technicalities at my GP's but hey, 4 days past is okay. at least it was in the same month as my bday so i got kinda near my target date)
I live in London. I 'came out' to my Mum this year. Since doing so i've felt like a failure and wished that my birth never happened. I'm currently unemployed but do a lot of voluntary work where everyone knows me as Danny. Not Danny an ftm (i'd hate that), just Danny - a young man.
I'm currently hating charing X gender clinic and i can't stand my clinician and i also know that i'm gonna have a long-arse road ahead of me, but then again, i came out to my GP aged 18, started treatment almost 2 years later so i knew it'd never be a wham-bam-thank-u-mam type thing. It's okay though, at least i'm on the right road now.
Take care all,
D.J.W

Hi Guys,
I'm Eugene and I just joined tzone today. I will turn 54YO on the 17th of this month. I started hormones in 2003, and had top surgery in 2004. Have female partner I have been with through the whole process. The pic on my profile is from 2005 or so, but was the only one I had small enough to fit here. I have facial hair now.
Looking forward to getting acquainted with you guys. Feel free to drop me a line.
Eugene

Hi Eugene and welcome to Tzone
I had the same problem with putting a photo on, you need to make them tiny, 7k or something like that, so I resampled my pic in Photoshop but there is another way of doing it, Chrissy explained it in a previous thread.
Hope to hear more from you soon or you could start a blog if you want. I wished I'd started one when I first came on here but there doesn't seem much point now as I've told most of my story on various posts along the way.
Anyhow, as I said, welcome and hope the site is of some help to you.
John

......for the kind notes, you guys. I forgot to mention that I am from St. Louis, Mo., in the USA. Looks like most of you are across the pond from me. Makes me curious to hear your experiences, in countries with national health care in place.

Hi Eugene, just wanted to say hi too- it's always nice to see some new faces and get some fresh opinions (that's my sneaky way of saying that all you others guys have mouldy opinions...)

Hello chaps. I'm James, an eccentric artist from the north of England. I had top surgery in 2006, will have been on T for two years next month, and am very happy with my transition other than being peeved that I cannot grow sideburns yet.
I'm glad to find this place, it's the first forum I've come across with any real population of British ftms.

Hi LM and welcome to Tzone,
I'm finding my sideburns are growing the slowest facial hair wise too and I agree that this site does seem to have the most British ftms on the internet.
I had chest surgery done earlier this year. Hoping to getting around to taking some newer photos soon.
