new to the post. but have been reading for a long while.
just wanted to sign on to let the readers that i just had my srs 2 months ago.
wow its gone....
finally.. no more thing in between my legs. life is normal.
i lived that female role for 12months to be able to have the surgery. now i am going to return to the male role. this was my only option to get the surgery, its done!!
i just read about the ftm pre ops on here and dont understand why anyone would want something hanging around down there.

Interesting...are you going to continue taking testosterone for a more male appearance? I have heard of a couple of people who have had vaginoplasties but retained their male persona. _________________ It's never too late to be who you might have been. - Mary Ann Evans

They probably don't understand why you wouldn't want anything "hanging around down there". It's probably best if you don't understand it, just to appreciate that they do want it. I'm sure they'll give you the same respect in turn._________________ Hellfrozeover be a pirate and a Transgenderzone moderator.
I don't stand under the TG umbrella anymore, it's way too bitchy and crowded in there but it's sunny out here

Possible, but I have actually seen a couple of instances of such a transition, including genetic females who remove breasts but go no further, or a transitioned MtF who sometimes retains the male persona. _________________ It's never too late to be who you might have been. - Mary Ann Evans

no not really.... just was an experiance to see what the female gender in the real world was like. never planned to stay female for long. i am self employed so i work @ home with software programs. so it was a smooth shift.
i got it removed. My genitals and i plan to stay male.
this was what i needed to do to get the ok to to get srs
i think it should be by choice to have something removed, or not.
in the mornings i use to look in the mirror and think, why have this. its in the way. its wrong.
would a woman need to become a male to be approved for the surgery to remove breasts??
as far, as i know. thats a no..
its done and over with now. live is great!!

yes will be on a low amount to see how much i need to gain the prev. muscle, and not grow more boobs.
right now i barly fit into a 34B bra
34A is just right with most underwire bras. i think i will need to wear one for 4-5 months still so i feel like they are pointing out at people.

true, and it's actually the sort of transition a lot of gq people would like _________________ Moderator

Well I've heard of women getting them removed but even then they had to go through therapy before the surgeon would agree to do it

Wow, really? Completely removed, without there being a medical need? I've never heard of that over here! An ex-colleague had been treated for breast cancer, and requested that she had a double mastectomy to minimise the risks of the cancer recurring, and had a hell of a job persuading them to do that - she got it in the end, but that's still what I'd refer to as a medical reason.

Maybe it's an American thing LOL
I do think it's silly though that anyone can go have them made bigger or made smaller but to get rid of them altogether requires therapy and crap...
