hello everyone Very Happy

Thought this was probably the right place to introduce myself.

A friend has pointed me this way who is a member, because I'm working through some gender issues at the moment (which are starting to realy stress me out) and I don't have a space to go to where I can explore these issues with other trans/GQ people who can help and empathise.

Bit confused as I had to select male or female when I joined and there was no box for 'ummmmmmmmm a bit of both? neither? not even really certain yet' Wink so I have settled for female as that is what I was assigned at birth.... but thought I better declare that I am genderqueer - probably transgendered really. And I am femme so I like girly presentation. I am realising it might be best to stick in the GQ forum and will do so if that's what's expected here.

My ID on here is Queen Dennis cos I am bossy and I like red and black Dennis the Menace socks. It's as good a reason as any I guess Smile. I am hoping the addition of Queen to Dennis might help people not mistake me for a boy, as you can't see my tutu's and eyeliner from there.

It's also because I am thinking about changing my name to Dennis Very Happy because it suits me better than my girl's name. I am a sort of girl, but I am the sort of girl who would be called Dennis.

Wink

PS I also love Drag Queens and I wish I was one Wink that's the other reason why Queen (and I am queer as queer can be in every way imaginable)

Hi Smile Queen Dennis

Welcome to tzone.

You don't have to stick to posting in the Genderqueer forum, even if that's how you identify yourself. You'll be quite welcome to post in other forums.

I hope you like it here and yes this is a good place to introduce yourself

Hi Dennis,

Welcome, I'm certainly intrigued to know more about you. You will find loads of people here to identify with, even if only some parts of some people are like some parts of yourself!

Maybe consider starting a blog? I wasn't going to do it, but it's a really great thing to do. I wouldn't recommend reading mine tho, it's totally self absorbed and really boring, but lots of other people's blogs on here are really interesting and a great read. I look forward to reading yours if you make one Smile

Hi GQ I am already enjoying your posts as I take a shufty round this place. I said a bit more in the GQ forum about where I'm at right now, if you're curious (and btw I am really happy to answer any questions... its pretty confusing for me being a non female femme with a c**t (if nobody minds this expression), so I'm not really epxecting it to make a lot of sense to anyone else either LOL.

I've never had a blog before Embarassed I don't know why I feel shy about it, but right now I can very easily see that I might find it extremely useful from a personal perspective at the moment and a lot of things (more perspective than anything) are changing quote fast for me at the moment. I will have a think about that cos thats probably a realy helpful sggestion for me there. although I dont really know how a blog works or what to do.

That'd be me then - glad you've found us ok!

Feel free to post wherever you want - no need to stick to one place. Then again, I can't actually imagine you just staying in the one place for long anyway... Wink

Bossy? You? Surely not... *runs away very fast indeed before QD can catch up with him*

Dennis is a good name for you, I reckon Very Happy

Anyway, it's good to see you here, and to see that you seem to be settling in nicely already!

I never had a blog before I started posting here either, but I've found it really useful too. All you do is start a thread in the My Story and Daily Blogs section and write about whatever you want, updating it as regularly as you feel like it. Often a few people will respond to your posts, but it's basically your space, if that makes sense.

Dead easy, see - why not give it a go?

Yes I read that too! Very Happy

I like to think of it as my own personal thread where the forum rules are relaxed, I don't need to worry about being on topic or making overly long and pointless posts - I mean if people don't like my style it's easy for them just to avoid that one thread Wink

I'm glad you started a blog you sound like a fun and interesting person so I look forward to reading more Smile

Hi and thank you very much. at risk of making myself sound like a sad case, I am having an awful couple of days and feeling very relieved to be here.
