So i need advise please regarding Body and facial hair. I have tried almost everything, but right after shaving like three hours later i have stubble which unless i use a ton of foundation can be seen and even then the five o clock shadow is a pain. And chest hair omg, the razor bumps is a pain and three days later its starting to come back thicker than ever.

Advice please. what about the hormones, will that effect my head hair? How Waxing hurts but i use it on bikini line after i stick an apple in my mouth so no one hears me scream. And electolysis is expensive here.

if you have light skin and dark hair get some laser sessions - they cover a lot very quickly

if you beard is blonde then you will need needle electrolysis - that aint no picnic and it will take years potentially to clear it

you can buy facial waxing strips or you can tweeze the hairs out of you face - but they will grow back and as they have not been zapped first then its a tiring routine

you could buy your own electrolysis machine and DIY it - but start on very low settings and practice in parts of your body you are not bothered about until you get the hang of it upper thigh or chest for example

HRT will help you stop losing head hair but it doesnt soften the beard all that much post puberty

the easiest and cheapest way is to take a long hot steamy bath until you start to wrinkle stage then shave - you will get a lot longer without stubble in that way - and try some baby oil to stop razor burn - always use a good quality razor and maybe buy some aloe vera gel to help calm any post shaving redness lastly if you are able to allow at least 2 days of growth before you shave for a 'special occasion' as this will give you a far better result and far smoother look

hope this helps

I found that Androcur did a number on facial and body hair. I lost alot of body hair after the first month and then facial hair started going to. I've lost at least 1/3 of my facial hair and around 2/3 of my torso hair I also have new head hair growth around my hairline so even blockers alone can be pretty powerful and I'm only on 50mg a day.

As for waxing hurting, beauty is pain lol. If it's something you really want then the pain will be there with it. It might get slightly better as you continue with it., it might not. I've waxed my face and epilated my legs a good few times and it does hurt but the results are more important than the pain imo.

Raquel,
You might try using an electric razor (instead of lather and blade) for your body hair. I've used the Norelco (Philips) and it make quick work of an otherwise intricate job. For your face it may not be "close as a blade" but it is a lot easier on your skin. As far as stubble goes the other advice about Androcur is spot on - much less hair especially on the body. Laser really does work for someone with dark hair, but you need to go back for touch ups every couple months because of the hair growth cycle of the beard.

WOW, thanks ladies, yes, Beauty is Pain i totally agree on that one. My therapist told me the other day im very vain about how i appear in public. At first i thought he meant it badly, but then he explained no that wasnt it, but that i spend tons of my money on beauty supplies. My next will be me shopping for my clothes again, after i got really ill and was in the hospital for a long time i lost all my gowns, clothes etc and i want to get them back. I had thi Gorgeous latex body suit that was very form fitting from the Piedmont store here it was so nice that three other girls i know went and bought one too hehe because it was sleek and nice and not, well you know.

I get frustrated having to shave everyday but yes Beauty is pain, im going to try the electric shaver and im saving my money i put into quicken a budget so that by the end of AUgust i can have over $1,000 dollars saved and i can put something down on electrolysis. Just hard to save when you on a fixed income hehe.

Course i wont find out until June what my costs for the Dental Work they want to do will cost me after insurance. But your feedback on the body and facial hair is a bighelp

Thank you all sooo much

/hugs
Raquel
