Sorry to hear that hun
Have you tried setting up a camera of some sort? You can get what is basically a motion activated webcam, might help bump the police into action if you have some video of these assholes. I know they shouldn't need any encouragement but still =/

I am sure that if you have proof of who is doing it you could get a conviction.
The thing is that it will bring you out in the open and if your not out to the comunity then it's gonna be real hard.
But on the other hand may be now is the righjt time to say who you are, you have rights lass and one of those rights is protection.
You need to keep making complants to the police, each time it happens.
What ever you do I wish you all the best.

sorry to hear that luv sounds like your off to b and q or homebase for a home CCTV set up.
i dont hold no faith in the police, have you took it to your District Headquarters or higher?
and when you say attacked, in what sort of way do you mean like your windows put in?
because there have been time that i have had treats put on to the house, but nothing to do with me being trans.

Mr Nobody put my window through one night while I was in the pub for a swift pint. It happened at a time when Mr Nobody couldn't possibly have been there. I don't know Mr Nobody or his habits at all. Mr Plod couldn't trace Mr Nobody because he wasn't there when they knocked on his door.
Mr Nobody won't spend sixteen days in intensive care after I haven't caught up with him and so I won't do a stretch in Horfield because I won't have been there when I didn't do it.

Just a word of warning if you're planning on putting a CCTV system in, as far as I can recall a camera must only cover your property and if it covers a public right of way will be inadmissable as evidence. it may well be that repeated nagging of your local constabulary may be the only way.
Check with the police about the camera situation. _________________ It's not what you're born with

The terms of my tenancy agreement cover intrusion of privacy and the use of CCTV.
A webcam in the bedroom window (or wherever) is the best bet.
There is a straightforward way of dealing with individuals who put bricks through your windows.
Single them out. Follow one down the alley. Garotte the bastard with a cheesewire. Walk home.
Avon and Somerset are unlikely to bother you with the consequences. Make sure that there are no witnesses and everybody will be happy... _________________ The Daily Turnout - King of the Throne Room

One of the police's answers now days seems to be to get more CSO (Community Service Officers) out so that theres a better street presence to tackle potential vandalism & crime etc... locally theres been alot of keen interest for people joining them as they get a decent pay packet, maybe theres as much interest around where you live also, and if so, why dont you get in contact with the police to see weather they have any CSO initiatives around your area, you never know, their could be some new assignments to your area soon.
Also, what about neighbourhood watch? if there isnt one yet, or its not working, getting involved is a great way to tackle this sort of problem on the head imo.
few bits and bobs, hope they help

I've been part of a neighbourhood watch scheme. This was in Somerset where paranoia outweighs the crime rate. Neighbourhood watch schemes do not prosper where the balance is otherwise, it would seem.
For one reason or another, despite that I've sailed close to the wind in my "T" days, I've maintained a healthy rapport with the police and if I can't get a smile out of an officer within ten seconds, they're not cut out for the job.
I'm resourceful enough for most folk's needs and I'll be happy to act for anyone who's not getting any joy from their local plod.
By pm, please. _________________ The Daily Turnout - King of the Throne Room

It seems I am not allowed 'protection' as nobody, police, council, housing company, victim support etc just have no answers.
As for a police presence, there virtually isn't one, I hardly see a CSO never mind a full time cop. I maintain communication with the police, but how much good it does is difficult to quantify, at a guess minimal I'd say at best.
The chief constable and the local superintendant do not meet ordinary folk unless it is a good news story and a photo opportunity for the press.
Truly I am cynical of the police's integrity and sincerity at finding a solution, you have an incident report it as a hate crime and its ages before a police car arrives. The longest wait was 2 hours and 25 minutes.

As I said on the other forums, you've said yourself that you live in an incredibly rough area and attacks are bound to happen whether you're someone who just minds their own business or a big, purple alien. I lived in one such area briefly and in that time we saw the doors and windows tried for access and a hell of a lot and mud thrown at the windows. Yeah it was pretty crap but it happened to every other flat.
Now the way I see it, you've wrongfully told people on multiple forums that your house was attacked. Okay, I don't know about the previous times but I know about this one. A teenage girl knocked on your kitchen window and then ran away. That isn't an attack, it's just a teenager being an idiot.
We all have a hard time transitioning, maybe you're having a particularly hard time but so are many others. It doesn't make it right but if you want to be understood, you have to realise that you're not the only one that's miserable in the world. Yes, this is a support forum and you're welcome to support given but stretching the truth to that extent in order to get a few words of support isn't fair on anyone at all.
It might amaze you but not all things like this are because the 'attacker' sees you as a 'tranny', sometimes you're just dealing with an idiot who's went for the first target they see. _________________ Hellfrozeover be a pirate and a Transgenderzone moderator.

*looks at HFO's thread and nods*
Back onto the CSO thing though, there are a few people in my family who work for the police, and one thing thats ever prevolant when it comes to where police presence is, depends soely on the amount of officers they have, and also who complains enough to get more officer presence.
This is one of the good things about CSO's, and why i raised it. if you area has little to no officers of cso's, then complain god d'mit complain!, if eough noise is made, then they can allocate new cso's or even move them from areas they are not needed as much.
There will always be idiots pissin about on streets, but these kind of things are resolvable.

It's called common sense, the woman had her window knocked on (THAT IS ALL THAT HAPPENED THAT NIGHT, SHE EVEN SAID IT HERSELF ON HER OWN SITE) and then told people her house was attacked. I don't know what the wanted outcome was but to me it stinks of attention seeking and playing the martyr card to put it simply. To call it an attack really is verging on ridiculous and is toeing the line between exaggeration and lying._________________ Hellfrozeover be a pirate and a Transgenderzone moderator.
