ive recently been saving up money for one of those aus penile prosthetics tho the thing is im not sure which size prosthetic to get or what i can get away with without being too big. i originally thought that the average male penis was about 3 inches while flaccid but ive also read somewhere that its 3.5 in.
basically im not sure whether to get a 3in or 4in one. anyone have any thoughts? _________________ "...risk something, take back whats yours, say something that you know they might attack you for..."

I had the same problem when getting my first packer (penile prostetic if youv'e not heard the phrase before) i didn't want too big or too small, for obvious reasons! ive got the 3 inch version, which gives you a substancial buldge, but it's not too imposing or fake looking. I don't think it's much difference between 3 and 4,
for me a 3 inch was enough to feel something there, and have an obvious buldge in the trouser dept but without getting in the way and being uncomfortable.
feels great regardless! _________________ Creativity takes it's inspiration from the Tortured Soul

go for the smallest one. seriously. the cheaper prosthetics are very different than a biological flaccid penis in the sense of how they lie against the body and so will be more bulky. you definitely don't want to look like you're walking around with a hard on. _________________ forum moderator

the prosthetic im saving up for is one of those more expensive ones by camouflage.
still i think that i will end up getting the 3 in. as im hoping to get metoidioplasty and that will leave me with a much smaller than average penis plus i dont think i can get away with larger than average pre-T anyway. pre-pubescent boys have much smaller penises. _________________ "...risk something, take back whats yours, say something that you know they might attack you for..."

Well, Net Doctor says:
| Quote: | Average penis length
A non-erect penis usually measures between 8.5cm and 10.5cm (3-4 inches) from tip to base.
The average figure is about 9.5cm (3.75 inches), but this kind of precise measurement is rather valueless. Many factors can cause a temporary shrinkage of two inches or more, for instance cold weather or going swimming, so you needn't worry if you happen to fall short of the average figure. |
So I guess it depends on whether you want to be slightly above or slightly below average!

well i guess being big only really matters to me when erect tho it is tempting to pack larger than average. _________________ "...risk something, take back whats yours, say something that you know they might attack you for..."

Yeah, they're not cheap those ones, so that's probably a good idea - it'd be awful to get it and then realise it's the wrong size for you!
I'm probably going to invest in one of the Home Grown ones first, I think, and then at a later date I'll buy either the Camouflage or the Tyron 2 - unless there's something even better on the market by then!

Yeah be careful. I've heard some bad things about these really expensive Australian prosthetics, basically that it wasn't very good and at that distance not much chance of getting your money back. _________________ Check out the Tzone team bios (including mine!) at: http://www.transgenderzone.com/bio.htm

Oh, TDP, what bad things have you heard? I'd be really interested to know, since it's a lot of money to invest...
Actually, I've just had an idea. I might try and get onto an Australian FTM list/site and see if they've got any information there from people who've bought one. If I find anything out, I'll post up here too.

I can't crosspost because of confidentiality but basically someone asked about buying a Tyron2 and comments included:
Tyron 2 doesn't look as good in real life as on the website but stays on even during enthusiastic sex.
An unknown type from Australia costing £750 was worn once and then fell to bits - no refund or replacement. _________________ Check out the Tzone team bios (including mine!) at: http://www.transgenderzone.com/bio.htm

Thanks for that, TDP, definitely enough to make me think twice and do some further research!
