but in the UK even those who are used to be considered as quite mentally ill can lead 'supported' independent lives
they are still the boss and often the payer - thanks to the Disability Discrimination Act and personal assistants
i cant speak for the US set up but it seems you are indeed articulate and clear thinking here
so maybe this is something you need to challenge
