Alot of the games I'm buying now are for the PC cause I feel that the ps3 has been in trouble for the compatability of playing ps2 game.

I've contacted sony playstation Australia and it looks like the PS3 won't be able to play PS2 games which is very dissapointing to me, yet the US and JAP version of the console have the ability to play PS2 games.

There's a map editor in there somewhere, but I think you need the original DoW for it.

i know the euro ps3 has software playback for 90% of the ps2 games. its comical really they take out the ps2 hardware that the us and jap versions ps3's had in to make them cheaper and they still cost us £300+

yeah I know, it very strange why the Australian version of the ps3 can't play ps2 games at all, it wouldn't be worth my money to get one, some of my favourite games are still on the ps2 console. Sad

but the slimline version of the ps2 keeps breaking down quicky due to overheating without a cooling fan built in. Sad

Plus I have about 50 games for the ps2 and to throw them out for the PS3 would be a waste of money I've paid through out the years to have the games I really play alot.

So the PC for me is my only choice in getting new games.

Seems there's probably enough of us here who play DOW to get together and play a few skirmishes over the net, somebody with the tech know how would need to talk me ( at least Smile

) through the setting it up and since I think I've got a dying graphics card it could be a few weeks but I'm willing to give it a go.

I don't often keep my consoles when i get a newer one but i've kept my ps2 some of my fav games aren't compaible mostly the shooty ones like time crisis. i did tend to favour my pc when it came to games but i mostly buy for the 360 now.

gonna look into playing Warhammer online when its released next month instead of going back to WoW now lol

I've found out that there is a new Wolfenstein game and Doom 4 being under production which will be interesting to see how those games will play. Cool

ahh wolfenstein that game was soo cool all the postman pat look alikes.
I have orginal doom on my 360 its good to play when your board and dont want anything with a plot.
