Subject: London Pride Trans walking group - new information

Hello, as you will see below, the info@ftmlondon.org.uk email address
seems
to be blocked so please could you send this message out again to your
email
lists. Many apologies and thanks for your help. Joe

Hi everyone

PLEASE NOTE: FTM London have encountered a problem with their hotmail
email address so please email us AGAIN if you have already requested
information or bursaries from info @ ftmlondon.org.uk and use
INSTEAD the email address josephswiftnow @ hotmail.com Thanks.

(I have included spaces before and after the @ in all email
addresses. Please remove these before using the addresses._

London Pride is taking place on Saturday 30 June this year and we're
excited to have a large trans presence. Trans at Pride has obtained
some funding to support that large presence at the London Pride
parade and we want to invite YOU to take part. This invitation
including bursaries and breakfast is open to all trans people and
their allies.

In this email we want to tell you about where to find us on the day,
breakfast, funding for London-based Trans groups and travel bursaries.

Where to Find Us:
From 10.30am we will be at the corner of Baker Street and Dorset
Street (see attached map). This is just 10 minutes walk from Baker
Street tube station and is very easy to find. Just turn right out of
the tube station and walk down Baker Street going south until you can
see the FTM London banner.

Breakfast:
We will be providing a free breakfast to the first 40 people! So if
you would like to hang out in the buzz of pre-Parade for an hour or
so and have some breakfast, join us between 10.30 and 12pm. At 12pm
we will be moving to our place in the parade in Baker Street. We have
not been told our position in the parade yet but the FTM London
banner will be up so you should be able to find us. The banner will
be in Baker Street from 12pm so you can go straight there instead of
the breakfast if you prefer.

Funding for London-Based Trans Groups:
If you are an established London-based trans group and would like
funding to spend on your presence at London Pride (for example on
banners, t-shirts, handouts, etc), please get in touch with Gabe at
barrett.gc @ gmail.com, or Jay at jayarthurstewart @ gmail.com for
more information.

Travel Bursaries:
We are offering travel bursaries of up to £30 for people needing
financial assistance to attend the Parade.

How much can I get?
Each person can apply for a maximum bursary of £30. If your train or
bus ticket (second class only) costs less, we will pay the cost of
your ticket.

What do I have to do?
If you would like financial assistance with your travel to London
Pride please email josephswiftnow @ hotmail.com (please note this is
a different email address) to request a bursary. Find out how much
your ticket will cost first and tell us in your email. This is how
much we will pay you, up to a maximum of £30 per person, when you
give us your purchase receipt. We will only give bursaries to those
who contact us before June 30th and we will not pay your bursary
unless you give us a receipt for your ticket, so make sure you ask
for one when you buy it.

Where do I go?
Joe Swift will have the bursaries at the corner of Baker Street and
Dorset Street (see attached map) where we are having breakfast
between 10.30am and 12pm. Then we will be walking to Baker Street to
join the parade. You can join us at either meeting place. You can
claim your bursary from Joe Swift at any time until the parade begins
at 1pm.

Travelling to Baker Street by Tube:
There are engineering works on some tube lines on Saturday 30 June.
The Victoria line is closed between Brixton and Highbury & Islington,
the Northern Line is closed between Golders Green and Edgeware, the
Bakerloo line is closed between Queen's Park and Harrow & Wealdstone,
and the Silverlink Metro is closed at these two stations.

Further Information:
We still have to sort out some of the details and if you would like
to be involved in this process, please email Joe at josephswiftnow @
hotmail.com or Gabe at barrett.gc @ gmail.com or Jay at
jayarthurstewart @ gmail.com to volunteer. We will send out more
information as we have it.

We really hope you can make it. Let's have the biggest trans marching
group ever!!
