Eventually my sister stopped thinking it was an April Fools joke. -_-

Yeah, I know. She kept assuming that my smiling because she was being accepting was actually me losing my poker face.

I think it's a great idea, actually. Tell 'em in the morning and watch the reaction. If it's bad, you can back out of it, if not, then tell 'em again in the afternoon. _________________ The Daily Turnout - King of the Throne Room

LOL, yes
I agree with Reenine, it turned out great. You can either step further or if you think it was a wrong move / bad time, just withdraw and pretent it was an April fool.

Also, something that irked me. While she was talking (she always does the majority of the talking in all our conversation, I refuse to employ verbal wrestling just to get a chance to speak, yet she wonders why I never talk to her) she said the "current thinking" on transsexualism is that it's a form of body dysmorphic disorder. Now, it's been a couple months since I've done any reading on it, but isn't that a load of crap? It seems innocuous to presume that it could be one of many possible causes, but I've never heard that it's considered the leading cause, and I'm thinking of starting a conversation about it with her, because it doesn't seem too far removed from presuming the leading cause of transsexualism is autogynephilia.

Its some people's opinions that its a body dysmorphic disorder- but not all!!!
do you have acess to a uni library? I can recommend a book or two that might help you explain stuff to her.
Cheers
