Mary, Mungo and Midge

I stumbled over the first episode of this, this afternoon. I don't recall the details from having watched it way back when, but I have a vague recollection of being very young indeed, Mary's eyes and how life was lived in tower blocks.

Quite alien in black and white in a Somerset cottage.

1969...

"Get Carter"'s the better deal.

Revenge is best served cold and I've got poll position for bringing half of Shawbridge down next month.

Surf on that, Mungo!

I remember Mary, Mungo and Midge! Not from 1969 though, but only a few years after that...

In fatc, I watched a couple of epsiodes a few months ago, on a kids' TV DVD - very nostaligic!

So are they showing them again on TV then Reenie? Oh, and who, where or what is Shawbridge?

I stumbled across Mary, Mungo and Midge on Youtube. I don't know if it's been on telly recently since I don't have one.

Shawbridge is an area of Glasgow on the South Side close to Pollok Country Park. It's stuffed full of '60's tower blocks and ripe for demolition: two will be coming down by controlled implosion before August.

It'll be loud so I'll be there. I was a Motörhead gig in a previous existence. Very Happy
