Well i'm very happy.
My next appointment will be in november with Dr. lorimer to get a second opinion so that i can then hopefully get my chest op.
Fingers crossed. Now i've just gotta loose the weight and hope that waiting lists allowing i can be getting my op this time next year
Have to have it at the start of the summer holiday as thats the best time i have to recover afterwards without it interferring with my uni work. I'm really happy. _________________ 僕は男の人です

somewhat yes, my main gripe with life right now is my chest so it's good to know the end of that may be coming.
it also gives me even more determination to loose the weight. just gotta work on that now. _________________ 僕は男の人です

There is an end son, it may not be tomorrow, but it will come, as you have seen with most of us.
Keep smiling lad.

i was thinking recently.
Everyone always says how the nhs doesnt like to do things very easily.
but, My first appointment locally got me to CXH
After the baseline two at CX i got T.
and after the next one theres a good chance i'll have a referral for top surgery.
Things seem to be going rather strangely well for me.
Dr. Lenihan even said that CX like people to have been on T for a year before being referred for chest surgery, but she's fine putting me forward for it if the other Dr. (damn i've forgotten his name) agrees at my next appt, as by the time i got to the op it would have been a year.
Anyone else find that things go strangely smoothly for them considering the NHS reputation? _________________ 僕は男の人です

Apart from a couple of times when my appointment has been cancelled on the day, due to staff illness, I think my experience of the NHS has been pretty smooth so far. I can understand why they have got such a bad reputation in a lot of ways - particularly when you hear the horror stories from Leeds GIC - however, I think that CX for one are aware of their reputation and are making an effort to improve matters. I'm also very glad that I do live in the UK where we get free access to healthcare!

Yes, the free health care kinda makes me willing to pay taxes as i am using it.
I've had one staff illness cancellation too, but with their lists i can understand that you just have to be bumped back another 3/4 months for it. As thats a non deliberate delay to your treatment i can't hold it against them.
I do feel very glad that i'm not under the leeds clinic. _________________ 僕は男の人です

Well it's been an interesting couple of days.
Kinda sick of the backlash from the daily mail article. Not nice to have to defend yourslf to people who's business it really isnt. Hopefully it'll wash over soon.
rather annoying as i'm trying to get a job in hte local pubs n things n its there that the worst gossipers are. _________________ 僕は男の人です

Hmm, I've seen totally different reactions to it. One elderly lady, a customer where I work, came in and made some very positive comments to me about it (she knows I'm transgendered). I believe she used to be a nurse many years ago, before she retired, so I'd have thought that if there were genuine concerns within the NHS about competition for funding between GRS and other procedures, she'd have shared them.
Some people will just try and find any excuse to complain, I guess. Sorry to hear you're stuck in the middle of it.

Have been told to increase my T dose to three weekly.
This will hopefully get rid of that flunk i always feel i'm in at the end of the month and speed up the masculinizing effects.
am very happy _________________ 僕は男の人です

Had my T dose this morning.
Then went to the hospital for an appointment to look at my bad wrist.
After a bit of messing about the consultant injected 2ml of local anaesthetic and told me to go have a drink and return in a bit.
Returned and she had another feel of my hand, now blisfully numb and decided to inject 2ml of steroid into it and give me a splint to keep on until the weekend. slight twinges are coming now the anaesthetic is starting to wear off.
She believes its an inflammation caused at the beginning which hasn't had a chance to sort itself so the steroid should sort it and then my wrist should get better. _________________ 僕は男の人です
