Whootorz! Got a job interview.
Only problem is my proof of eligability to work in the UK is in my old name so i'll have to take along my deed poll too and hope they dont find someway of saying bugger off.

Congratulations on the job interview, Cayden!
Can you stall them a bit on the proof of eligibility, and only show them it once you've been offered the job - they wouldn't be able to take the offer back then? What are you planning to use, btw - there's a number of things that count, I think, including passport and NI card - have you got either of those in the correct name?

Tyvm.
if theyll accept it as proof of eligability i have my NIcard in my current name.
but due to cost i never got a new passport, and due to not having a GRC i havent even looked into changing my birth certificate. _________________ 僕は男の人です

I haven't changed jobs for over 5 years now though, is it some new kind of government legislation that you have to provide proof that you can work in the UK now?_________________ Chrissy

I'm not sure if it's actual legislation or not, but everywhere seems to ask for proof of eligibility now. We had a new starter not long ago at work, and he was fine using his NI card as proof though, so I'm pretty sure that should be ok.

Yep sainsburys ask for proof when i started about 4 years ago and when i went for an interview at the newcastle store they asked that i bring proof of elgibilty and my NI number aswell.
I'm hoping to get a transfer to the stoke store when i move, still living in NW london atm. I've heard from a friend that its a nice store and the manager is nice as'well.
Good luck with your interview an all.

The stoke store's great, it's massive and has all the sections, games/electronics, homeware, massive dry goods and chilled section,a good sized fruit and veg section, hot food counter, meat counter.
basically every section you could wish to work in. Have only been a couple of times but its always been clean, tidy and well stocked.
the interviewer was very nice today, didn't have a problem with me being trans so hopefully that wont cause a problem further along, am just waiting to hear if i've got a job.
Hope you manage to get the transfer Jess _________________ 僕は男の人です

Did they give you a little test type thing with the stupid multiple choice answers? some of them are so funny.
sounds like it went really well. Thats great about them not having a problem with the trans stuff. I've yet to come out at work but from what i've read about the company it shouldnt be aproblem them being equal oppertunitys (sp?) an all. It's another of the reason i want a transfer lol.
Sounds like a nice store, with plenty to use the staff discount on lol, the one i work at is pretty lame for everything even specially dvd's.

yep, i had hoped after all the stupid ones on the application form that they wouldnt give me anymore but they did.
though the interview ones seemed to be alot easier than the application ones.
Why applying for sainsbury is so hard i'll never know.
Waitrose is a far superior supermarket and they didn't ask a single question of the likes of sainsburys applications.
shame i cant work for waitrose anymore as i cant get to the one near stoke. damned good company to work for. _________________ 僕は男の人です

Yep, everytime I answered one of those questions i could feel my brain melting away. The funny thing is they havent changed in the 4 years i've been working for them. The ones they asked me the other week seemed exactly the same as the ones they asked me 4 years ago lol. _________________ Feel free to add me to msn. i do turn it on honest

Spent sunday at the Farnborough Airshow.
took 167 photos of which this is my favourite.
After two weeks of seeing/hearing the planes flying over head it seems really quiet around here.
Was a great day out, got lots of freebies Went with my parents and my fave cousin.
Am just going through my photos cropping out any annoying people who got in the way. _________________ 僕は男の人です

I used to go to the airshow at Yeovilton in Somerset and got 'round this problem by standing in a field off the end of the runway. You get a closer view of the aircraft and best of all it's free.
Nice shot of the Red Arrows. _________________ If music be the food of love, stand by for a good rogering
