You will see from my avatar that I have been to the hairdresser's this morning. I've not been to this one before, so had to break the lady in. No problem. She set to and within ten minutes I was doing my swede because I didn't recognise myself in the mirror.
During the course of this cut and blow-dry, I remarked on my receded hairline and mentioned that the scalp had been behaving strangely just lately. She took a closer look and told me what I'd long given up any hope of:
There's a fine layer of new hairs all over the area where the hairline has receded. They're back!

As I said elsewhere, you're looking fabulous Reenie. I think it really suits you. I think getting your hair done is just one of the most amazing things and never fails to make me feel good. It's great when you find a good hairdressers or salon, do I presume that you've found a good one now and will be going back? _________________ Chrissy

Thanks Chrissy!
There's a salon down the end of the road, five minutes away. You're a right. A good hairdresser can put you in a wonderful mood for the rest of the day. It's been a job fitting my smile through the door.
I used to go to a salon across town, near where I used to live, but it's a long way from here. Then it would rain on the way home...
The new one's much better and I'll certainly be going back. _________________ The Daily Turnout - King of the Throne Room

So I had the hairdo yesterday and today I thought I'd put on my white linen skirt and ladies' shoes and go shopping. All the way 'round Boots, Sainsbury's and PC World without so much as a glance. I checked myself in the mirror at Sainsbury's in the clothing section and I looked just like any other middle aged woman on a Saturday morning shopping trip.
The ultimate test is to queue at the checkout behind a family with a young girl in tow. They always point the trannies out... Not so much as a blink.
The lad in PC World behaved as though he were talking to his Auntie.
Result. _________________ The Daily Turnout - King of the Throne Room

Thanks Juz!
I went to ENT at the local hospital this morning. It rained and I arrived rather sodden. Never mind, the doctor was a hoot and he's arranging a CT scan for me. We'll sit down and examine it together at some later date.
That's cool. That shower of shit as Weston General never discussed a thing with me. Why couldn't that dump have burned down instead of the pier?
Next door but one has built himself a supersize shed in his back yard. It used to be an ordinary garden shed, but now I fear it has become a workshop. It sounds like the Woody Woodpecker show all afternoon. Not good when you're spiked with pain and trying to get some sleep.
I'll have to send Woody Woodworm and Terry Termite 'round for lunch. _________________ The Daily Turnout - King of the Throne Room

I'll mention it to my neighbour downstairs and see how she feels about the noise. She knows everyone and it might be better coming from her. _________________ The Daily Turnout - King of the Throne Room

Live in the Shadow of the Blues.
Whitesnake.
The last time I was blown away by a recorded live set it took both The Scorpions (World Wide Live) and Iron Maiden (Live After Death) to do the job that this accomplishes on it's own.
It's loud, powerful, gorgeous, soulful, wild, everything that I want...
.. and the hairs on my arms are still standing up on the fifth listen.
David Coverdale is the perfectionist and I appreciate his gentlemanly conduct at the end: "Thank you for your hospitality..."
Nae bother lad. Nice to have you in my living room. _________________ The Daily Turnout - King of the Throne Room

Metal is very much a Black Country past-time. Even Bev Bevan of ELO (playing at the moment) stood in for Black Sabbath for a time. Priest have a bloke called Tipton (whence came our beloved Bully). Ram it Down pays tribute to the area...
Of course, The Gods of Rock'n'Roll, Lords and Masters of the Zeppliverse have Robert Plant out front, unabashed and unashamedly Wolverhampton Wanderers to the core.
