there's nothing really to suggest. it could be the seats and the way they're positioned as the front of car seats tend to rise up a bit and this might be making contact with you, that's all i can think of.

it's easy to ignore, and shouldn't be noticeable to anyone else so don't stress about it Wink

Rejection as not inviting you for the interview or rejection as not hiring you after your probational period or rejection as firing?

Whatever it was, do they give any reason for it?

Not wanting me for the interview because I 'lacked the quealifications for the job'.

You need higher than a college diploma in animal management for working in kennels? Rolling Eyes Confused

One needs a diploma in linguistics.
Or else, how would a kennel worker communicate with German shepherds, chow chows, Russian hounds and all other international dog folks that reside there?

Seriously speaking, it's a pity :/
For several years, my ex worked as a volunteer in different animal shelters and everywhere they had their own training programme, so they took people who were willing to work. Qualification. although being a bonus that could take you to a higher position from the start, was not required.
Probably, it's a different system in the UK :/

Ah, Kenneth, that sucks. Did they say whether they meant formal qualifications or experience? And did you meet all the requirements on the Person Specification - assuming there was one?

Y'know, if you ever need a hand with a job application, feel free to give me a shout - it can be quite a skill filling them in, but I've got a pretty high success rate when it comes to getting interviews.

Good luck with your continued job search - what are you looking for?

Dave

Thanks Dave. They said I didn't have the qualifications. I don't think they mentionned experience, but I'll check later.

If I have the right qualifications to get through to the second interview as a guide dog trainer, surely I have the right qualifications to work in the kennels...

I want to train dogs, ideally.

I'm going to do a CV and send it off to Millets and other random shops to fill in the gap between now and when the next job comes up at the Guide Dogs.

Nope.

They said:

Quote:
...We have received many application for this post, and although your own application was given every consideration, we have been able to short list several candidated whose experience and qualifications more closely match our requirements. Therefore we regret to inform you that in this instance your application has not been successul....

Yadda yadda yadda etc.

I've had loads of experience working in kennels. More than I've had experience training dogs.

Anyway, never mind.
