Hi,
I've been asked by senior member of staff from a North East PCT, if I can get people involved in a major iniative. The North East PCT's are currently involved in a cross border policy agreement on an agreed care pathway for patients undergoing gender reassignment.
This a great opportunity to inform the PCT's of where they are going wrong, if indeed they are. It is a consultation process which could shape how those undergoing treatment for gender dysphoria in the North East are treated by their PCT. Hopefully leading to a level playing field for GID patients in the region.
If you are currently undergoing NHS Gender reassignment treatment in the North East, including post operative after care; and would like be interested in attending a meeting of service users, you are very welcome.
I have requested involvement by the Gender Trust, via their North East representative, Miss Emma Louise Roebuck.
If interested, please contact me.
The final details i.e date, time and place are not available at this time, but when they are I'll let you know.
Stephanie
