British women's secret shoe mountain
British women's shoe habits put Imelda Marcos to shame
British women hoard 7.5 million pairs of shoes they never wear, a survey has claimed.
Their wardrobes are also cluttered with some 2.2 million unused handbags and 5.2 million cocktail dresses, according to an eBay poll.
Almost one in 10 of the 2,388 women questioned owned jeans they never planned to wear again.
And 23 per cent still had a wedding dress stored away at home - around 5.1 million dresses nationwide.
Four out of five women questioned admitted hanging on to clothes long after they had stopped wearing them.
