Since I dont have anyone within my family to share my stories with, I am going to share something wonderful with the people of this forum
I was playing tennis (I must add, i was playing tennis really, really badly) with my sister this morning, when the young lad on the court next to us (not too bad looking, a bit too young for me though) came up to me and said "You play tennis like a girl" and eventhough I wanted to hug him and say thank you, I had to make it look like I was angry and told him to get stuffed!
I know its not much, but today is one of the happiest day's of my life
And just to put a little bit extra to this post, I would like to know what of late has made other people happy or would make you happy i,e pushing Julie Bindel down a couple of flights of stairs! that kind thing.
Carrie.

I would buy glass stilletoes simply to stand on Julie Bindel's face but that's another story and I'm a mod so I need to pretend to be civil lol.
It's cool when that kind of thing happens. You'll probably see it alot more as you start to transition .
I was looking a bit crap at my supermarket job having not shaved(although Androcur is sorting out facial hair quite a bit) or bothered much with my hair and a woman came up to me going on about how stunning I was. My voice was worse for wear that day(hungover lol) so when I opened my mouth she was like "Wow I thought you were a girl, that's amazing, you have such beautiful eyes!". Definately made my day! I've never been called "stunning" irl before . _________________ Hellfrozeover be a pirate and a Transgenderzone moderator.
I don't stand under the TG umbrella anymore, it's way too bitchy and crowded in there but it's sunny out here

I have had a few experiences like the ones you describe Carrie before transitioning at work. Whilst trying to throw rubbish into a bin people have told me I throw like a girl. People started saying I was looking more girly too and people thought I was a girl from a distance, well of course I am a girl but they didn't know that then. To be honest I guess I put myself down a lot and wish I looked a lot more feminine but it does really make my day when I get a compliment.
Hehe before I transitioned at work a guy said that my hairstyle was making me look more feminine but I thought why should I pretend to be angry at that as it clearly made me feel good so I replied "awwww thankyou very much". The guy seemed a little taken aback by my response, lol, as I said it genuinely and not sarcastically. _________________ Chrissy

I was in a shop, not to uncommon for me, a few weeks back looking for something a bit more daring to go out with some friends for a friends birthday.
I picked up a black dress, went into the changing room to put it on, I came halfway down my thigh, I'm not used to showing that much leg. Anyway, I was also wearing tights and heels at the time, I opened the door while still wearing the dress to ask the girl if I could have the next size down, when she turned around looked me up and down and said wo, in the good sense that is.
I was a bit taken back as I wasn't expecting it, I asked her if it looked too tarty and she told me not in the slightest, and that I had a great pair of legs. Told her I wasn't used to showing them, but she told me a should more often. _________________ Badly drawn girl x

I've had a few of these things, but my favourite was at a Yu-Gi-Oh tournament.. Yes, I'm kind of geeky, and I love trading card games.. n_n;
Well, I won a match against a guy who was really good, and he was like, "Wow, you did great. Didn't expect to lose to a girl!" I just acted shocked and he said, "Oh, sorry, no offense!" and he walked away blushing! I thought that was awesome! Happily I came third in the tournament, so all in all it was a great day!

Those situations have been becoming more and more frequent of late though most of them are so basic or brief I forget when or where it happened. Heres two I do remember.
one was near the begining of summer. My dad and I were going to pick up my mom who works at the mall. When we got there my dad started talking to one of my mom's co-workers and then my mom's co-worker called me a girl ^.^ It made me excited inside, but of course I gave him the confused "what?" look (or perhaps it was that suprised eye brows raised up one, I don't remember that part). Of course my dad ruined my mood by making a joke about it -.-
Another time I was walking on the sidewalk and someone mistaked me for a girl the person knew. Not sure if I should really be happy about that or confused. That one was about at the begining of August, I believe.
