I'd love to!
But I think you're too far away.
Oh well
On another forum, I've offered to walk people's dogs for a bit of extra cash, but the people who want me to do it live to far away _________________ Teenager. FTM gender dysphoric 'transgender tomboy'

hey there, just reading your post about the guide digs stuff - my best mate is doing a really cool course all around dog training - bet it'd be the kind of qualification that you would need. its a distance learning course I think with a week's residential each term. its at Bishop Burton college and called FdSc Canine Behaviour and Training.
Look it up!

maybe they think you are overqualified to work in the kennels, if you are good enough to get the second interview for training? It is stupid, because why would you apply for jobs that are "beneath you" if you didn't want them? but employers look at qualified people and think "hmm, this job will be too easy for them and they will be unmotivated for it" and stuff like that...
could you call them and ask what qualifications would help you in future applications, as you want very much to work for them? it would at least show them you won't give up without a fight.

It's not just that, it's also that if someone's over-qualified they'll probably be looking for another job with better pay/career path or whatever, and then all the time and money that's been invested in recruiting and training the person will have gone to waste. But yes, the phrase | Quote: | | several candidated whose experience and qualifications more closely match our requirements. | could mean that you're OVER-qualified rather than under-qualified for the job.

That's an excellent idea. All good employers should be willing to give feedback to applicants who are unsuccessful.

I don't think so, because they seem perfectly happy to train people for the kennels and then take them on as trainers.
Anyway - yesterday I was waiting at the bus stop with a friend and there was this middle aged/older Indian/Asian/ethnic man there and he started talking to us about the buses etc.
Then he asked if we were friends and we said yes.
Then he started talking about how men almost always marry a younger woman. My friend said that her mum was older than her dad and he said they were an exception to the rule.
Then (oh-oh) he said 'see, male senior, female junior' pointing to us both in turn. I should have kept my mouth shut. I don't know why I said it. I could have even jsut said 'she's not my girlfriend' but I said 'I'm a girl'.
He looked me up and down rather rudely, like I was some sort of amusing puzzle, but I didn't mind that so much, but then..OMGosh I cannot believe this and I HATE it - he put his hand on my chest (yes, you know what I mean) and said 'ah, there is sign'.
I was so much in disbelief that to start with I didn't do anything. All I could do was push it away (too gently, I thought).
I wish I'd shouted 'I don't know what you do in India, but this is Britain, and I'll be damned if you're going to treat me like that!'
Honestly - like I was just some sort of amusing freakshow or something like I didn't have any rights as a human being at all _________________ Teenager. FTM gender dysphoric 'transgender tomboy'

I'd av decked him there n then. You let him off too lightly by the sounds of it. Mind you, that was prob the shock of it that made you dumbfounded.

Eyeing him up and down rather rudely, I answer "Appearance can be deceiving, you know. For example, looking at you, I'd never call you a gentleman. Let's see..." and I stretch my hand with an obvious intention to check for "the sign".
... I really do not know what he was doing on the bus stop. From what I saw, he can run twice faster than any bus.

Er...well, I'm desperate for money at the moment, while waiting for a job, so if anyone wants to take a look at what I have selling on iBootSale, that would be nice (nicer still if someone buys lol)

If any of you ladies wants a handbag or some fluffy pink socks...
I've been on the computer all day. I wish I had something better to do, but my bus pass has run out
