Subject: The Wright Stuff/ Media Request

Hi, my name is Leanne and I am a Associate Producer for The Wright Stuff
on Channel 5.

The show is a live daily current affairs discussion show, hosted by
Matthew Wright, which includes panel discussion, phone-ins and special
guests. In the second part of the show we cover issues that perhaps
aren't given sufficient air time elsewhere.

On Monday 15th October, we will be looking at issues surrounding gender.
We will be speaking to people who have transitioned from male to female
and female to male.

In the item we will be exploring what it is like to be born in the wrong
body? How individuals reached the decision to have surgery? And also how
people surrounding them reacted to their transition i.e family, friends
and employers.

I am looking for people who have transitioned from female to male and
would be happy like to speak with me in more detail about their own
personal experience. If you would like to find out more please contact
me at leanne.dance@princesstv.com or phone me on 0207 985 1942.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Just about remembered to tape this before I left the house!
Glad I did; first time I've seen Dr Curtis on TV.

I would, but it's on a VHS and I don't think I have either the necessary hardware or software to get it onto the computer. Sad (And the tape itself is verging on 20 years old, so I wouldn't be at all surprised if it snaps some time through the next couple of plays...)

But it was very interesting though; as well as Dr Curtis they had Lee Gale from the Make Me a Man documentary - loved his blue mohican! Twisted Evil

I wanted to watch this too, but the minor detail of work got in the way. If anyone else did happen to have a copy, I'd be very interested to see it.

It says on the webiste that it's repeated again at 11am on Five Life, but I assume that means the same day. It doesn't mention repeats on any other day, so my guess would be no...

[And sorry about the double post earlier, I feel like a jerk! Is there no way to remove it?]

Unlikely, I'd have thought - they don't usually repeat those sort of live current affairs programmes. I'm sure someone, somewhere must have a copy though - I'll ask around a bit and see what I can find.
