I draw the line at Second Life (looks fascinating, but I'm afraid it would only lead to me living exclusively on the 'net...), however wouldn't mind chatting on MSN.

I'm definitely up for a group chat sometime; my main problem is that I have such a busy life that I can never guarantee to be in at a specific time each week. Like Alan, I'm definitely avoiding Second Life too - I have enough problem finding time to do everything I need and want to do in my first life!

Personally, I don't mind either IRC or MSN; however, I'd have thought that MSN would be the one that most people would be more comfortable with as it requires much less techy knowledge or special commands to use.

If CheekyCat is trying to herd cats in Glasgow, and I'm trying in Manchester, how about someone trying to do the same in cyberspace? Name a time and how to access the chat, and I'll be there if I can!

I am a Second Life addict. Plus, my SL income pays for my hair removal. But yes, if anyone is interested in meeting up with me in SL, or organising a group meeting there, please, pm me and I'll try to fix up something.

I miss the IRC chat lol. MSN chat could be fun but I'd imagine likely the time decided on wouldn't work for me...

I have a couple of income sources in SL.

I do occasional contract work for big corporations. I sell cheaper stuff to the mass market (a very small part of my income). And I rent a private island out to a company and act as security, grounds maintenance, and liaison with LL as necessary for them. This last one is my main SL income in recent months. It is a very high profile site, which I won't name in a public forum (pm me for details), since an astute person might trace it back to my RL identity. Thankfully, our griefing incidents are almost non-existant.
