I can see the point with 'other' and 'third gender' but surely someone is only intersex if they actually have parts of both the male and female reproductive system . _________________ Hellfrozeover be a pirate and a Transgenderzone moderator.
I don't stand under the TG umbrella anymore, it's way too bitchy and crowded in there but it's sunny out here

I think that was sort of the point
HFO I think all words are just meaningless now, everybody can call themselves whatever they want whether it makes sense or not...

Yeah but intersex and hermaphrodite for that matter, are medical terms for certain conditions. Third gender fair enough though as I said.
I'm gonna be a melungeon today. _________________ Hellfrozeover be a pirate and a Transgenderzone moderator.

i just fell on this topic.........
i think HFO was a bit clumsy relating it entirely to reproductive systems, but i do actually see her point quite clearly.
'intersex' isn't a gender identity that you can just pick and choose, unless you are intersex........
which, hi, medical models.......
it's conflating sex and gender-idenitity, which are not neccessarily mutually inclusive. _________________ "Throw yourself in the road darlings! You haven't got a chance!" - Withnail
