I can see the point with 'other' and 'third gender' but surely someone is only intersex if they actually have parts of both the male and female reproductive system Confused

Which implies women who've had hysterectomies etc aren't female? I don't think you can use that as the single defining characteristic. But that's for another topic... Very Happy

HFO I think all words are just meaningless now, everybody can call themselves whatever they want whether it makes sense or not...

Yeah but intersex and hermaphrodite for that matter, are medical terms for certain conditions. Third gender fair enough though as I said.

i just fell on this topic.........

i think HFO was a bit clumsy relating it entirely to reproductive systems, but i do actually see her point quite clearly.

'intersex' isn't a gender identity that you can just pick and choose, unless you are intersex........

which, hi, medical models.......

it's conflating sex and gender-idenitity, which are not neccessarily mutually inclusive.
