UK: Podcast - Mental Health, The Transgender Realities [Plain Sense]

A few weeks ago the Department of Health organised a national
conference for health service professionals on LGBT Mental Health
needs and strategy. The conference, in Nottingham, drew 130 delegates
from all over the UK and was chaired by Professor Claire Chilvers, who
is the Chair of Nottingham Healthcare NHS Trust and was opened by
Surinder Sharma, National Director of the Department of Health's
Equality and Human Rights Group. Key speakers included a Professor of
the Sociology of Healthcare (Prof Anne Rogers from Manchester
University) and many speakers with specific user-centred expertise,
including trans health expert Christine Burns.
Christine has featured recordings of several presenters on her
Equality and Diversity Podcast channel, "Just Plain Sense" over the
intervening weeks and has now added coverage of her own
uncompromisingly forceful account of the discrimination and exclusion
evidenced by successive academic studies in the last 18 months. You
