I did guess early on where the plot was going so the ending was no surprise to me. What was a surprise is how marvellous Harrison is still looking, I reckon he could do yet another one you know. Perhaps it would be cool to see Henry Jones the 3rd become an Indy type figure in a future film.

Yeah, Harrison Ford still looks amazing! I dunno if he'd do another one now, but I think they've set it up nicely for a sequel anyway, even without him. And yep, I figured it out pretty early on as well Very Happy

Also I noticed just now on the TV there was an ad for a documentary about the real legend of the crystal skulls, I didn't even realise the movie was based on a real legend.

I'd heard that all the Indy films are based on actual legends, and then embellished and rehashed somewhat. I've got no idea what the real legend is though!

Anyway, I've just been to see Sex And The City today. It's not bad, pretty much what you'd expect really - and much as I usually hate that sort of Rom-Com genre, there's something about SATC that I've always enjoyed - and not JUST Samantha! Wink

The crystal skulls are real, whether they are as old as claimed is another matter entirely, just google Crystal Skulls and you'll find a load of stuff from very good academic articles to the quite frankly bonkers

We've done a double bill at the cinema today, with a quick foray to Pizza Hut in between. Firstly, we saw Hancock - not bad, though not exactly the greatest film I've ever seen. Then, after our pizza, we saw Mamma Mia! - which was quite funny actually, though very much a girl film - my partner loved it!

Last film seen by me: Wall-E, and for me, was the single best film I'd seen in probably my life. Though its a tough call between it, and Watership Down, I love bunnies! Very Happy

SPEEDRACER! Oh my, this certainly was one of the best films I have seen in a long long long time!!! The CGI was spectacular!!! Can't say enough good things about this techno-coloured-acid-trip-of-a-movie!

And I saw the Dark Knight. Eh. It was about as good as Batman Begins. As with Batman Begins, I think Cillian Murphy's character pulled off the film, and in The Dark Knight I think Health Ledger rules. If it wasn't for these two characters the movies wouldn't have been much.

I thought Aaaron Eckhart was the star of Dark Knight, personally. I also agree that It's about as good as Batman Begins.

The reviews I've seen for Speed Racer are pretty poor, but I'll likely rent it on DVD.

Aaron Eckhart? Nope. Don't know him. He could be in it, I'm not sure. There's been stacks of cheers for Heath Ledger as the Joker because as you might know, it was the last film he made before he died. But, as I am Australian, and so is (was?) he, I guess they are more obsessive about him over here.

Yeah, Speed Racer has been getting poor reviews, but then again, The Dark Knight has been getting five out of five everywhere... I don't listen to them.

Sure, Speed Racer is a bit juvenille, and no one who suffers from epilepsy should see it, but it's very fun.

Vanishing Point

For some reason, it managed to miss me by all these years, but I caught up with it when I found a copy in HMV for £5. Essential viewing for petrolheads. Who wouldn't want a Dodge Challenger after this?

We saw Kung Fu Panda the other day - it was ok, amusing in parts and pretty much what you'd expect really Very Happy

I'm really looking forward to seeing The Dark Knight - I loved Batman Begins, so if it's as good as that I'll be happy. Hopefully we'll get to see that adn Wall-E in the next week or two.

Horton Hears a Who, I just saw... was alright. Not sure I enjoyed the blatant scene ripped straight from Meet the Robinsons though...

He played Harvey Dent/Two-Face in the film and many have said he outshines everyone in the film, including Ledger, adn I would have to agree. Eckhart's role was much tougher to pull off than the joker, and he did it perfectly.
