This guy on youtube is doing homemade STPs and harnesses for really reasonable prices. Ive been in touch with him and have no reason not to think he is genuine.

Thought it might be useful for other guys here - Im going to try one of his harnesses as Im not totally happy with the one I use right now - I'll let you know how I get on with it when it arrives

When it comes to harnesses though, have you tried the World's Simplest Packing Harness? It costs about a quid to make, takes about 10 minutes, and works really well - I've been using one for ages, and wouldn't bother with anything else at all now Very Happy

Hey Dave, yea thats the one I use too but I dont quite get on with it for some reason! Which is annoying coz as you say it cost pennies to make!

It works really well at holding the packer in place but I find it pulls it slightly upwards all the time (dont know if its coz of the shape of my hips or something wierd like that?) Ive messed about with it a fair bit to try and get it sorted but I just cant seem to get it right.

On a slightly different note Ive been using the Travelmate as an STP device instead of the one that comes with the DJ PPP and it works great for me! I couldnt get the hang of the DJ one at all. I also have tried the sheewee which works well too but I find the funnel is a little short for use with clothing! Embarassed

he does a good vid on how to make your own STP packer - for alot less than the mango. The other good thing is as it uses a travelmate you can practice with just the travelmate then use in a packer once youve got the hang of it

Well I can't look at the videos right now (crowdy here) but i'll give them a go. got my own solution for now but it's always good to have something better, eh? Smile
