nipples

Hi guys

Just a bit curious really. Me and the mrs was talking about top surgery the other day and was wondering if after surgery and everything has healed do you still have some sensation in the nipples or do you loose it. Was wondering if any of you guys could help me with that.

I think it depends what kind of surgery you have. If the nipples are removed and reattached, I don't think you would have any sensation there. Then again I've obviously not experienced this myself, so maybe someone else will be able to answer more confidently!

The sensation in mine has come back slowly. They are not as sensitive as they used to be which I am actually pleased about as they were far too sensitive before my surgery.

One odd thing though. If I touch myself on the right hand side of my chest (where the edge of the right side scar ends) it feels like I am also touching the end of my nipple at that side. Must be something to do with nerve damage durung the op as I developed a haematoma at that side after the first op.

Most people seem to regain nipple sensation (some if not all of it) even after surgery where the nipples have been removed and regrafted - sorry to contradict you TDP!

Mine is still coming back, and hopefully will carry on increasing for a while yet. It's just the luck of the draw really - there's no way of telling in advance!

Nipple sensation has returned to my left nipple, even more so than pre-op! The right side feeling hasnt returned yet, but ive got issues with that side anyway due to swelling.
Both nipples go hard when touched even the side that has no feeling. Im not bothered I dont have sensation in 1 nipple. They are useless objects anyway :D im just glad they didnt die and drop off lol Im sure once I get the right side sorted out feeling will slowly start to come back.
