Hi Alistair, and welcome to tzone!
Calm down! "Egg in the butt" isn't anything serious to worry about. It's just (as far as I'm aware anyway) referring to when you get a lump under the skin where the T has been injected - it disappears pretty quickly anyway. It might just be a bit sore or uncomfortable for a day or two.
Don't be scared about your first injection. Obviously, whether it hurts or not depends on a number of things, including whether the T has been warmed to body temperature, how relaxed your muscle is when it's injected, and the technique of the person giving the shot. My first one caused me a small amount of tenderness for a few days where the shot had been given, but none of the ones I've had since have caused me any discomfort at all. Anyway, even if it does cause a bit of discomfort, I'm sure all the guys here would agree that it's worth every second of it!

Needles hurt me, that's why I hate them. And I'm so dagg mad at hte nurse who drew blood from me friday. She did something and bruised where she put the needle. The first time I had the guts to watch and not flinch or anything, and I come out bruised. -_- I should've gotten another vial drawn and just went "no freaking way".
T's not going to be fun. But worth it, I really want to start that as soon as I possibly can.

T is injected into muscle though, so it doesn't hurt the way needles in veins hurt. I think the only time I get pain is when I do nick a vein on the way in.
